About Clogmills
Welcome to the website of Lancashire Heeler kennel Clogmills
Clogmills is a small-scale kennel located in North Brabant and run by Astrid.
I breed according to the rules of the Board of Directors in the canine field in the Netherlands. This means that all our Lancashire Heelers have an NHSB number (pedigree). I breed Black and Tan as well as Liver and Tan Lancashire Heelers. However, the Liver and Tan are not that common.
My Lancashire Heelers are first checked for health and character before I start breeding. Both the puppies and the parents are DNA tested. In addition, they are examined for hereditary eye defects, patellar luxation and they receive a DNA test for Collie eye and Primary Lens Luxation.
At six weeks, the puppies receive the necessary vaccination and from two weeks, the puppies are dewormed every two weeks.
At most once or twice a year I have a litter, I choose this consciously. Raising and caring for a litter of puppies takes a lot of time and attention. My goal is that the puppies are sufficiently socialized before they go to a new owner. This means that the puppies have already had sufficient contact with adults and children, have been in the car, to the market and the shopping center. They have met other dogs of different breeds and can already walk a bit on a leash. House training and potty training is also part of the upbringing. It is of course the intention that you take this over at home.
The puppies can go to their new owner at the age of eight or nine weeks. For puppies that go abroad, they may leave the Netherlands at the age of fifteen weeks. This in connection with the obligation of the rabies vaccination.
You can make an appointment with me at any time to visit and get to know this beautiful breed.
