Jean Paul Smaal
June 4, 1962 – January 17, 2022
Jean Paul has been my great love for twenty-two years. Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly and much too soon.
Jean Paul was the founder of kennel Clogmills. He was a beloved person. He has meant a lot to the breed, the Lancashire Heeler, both in the Netherlands and in the United Kingdom.
In addition to his love for the breed, he also had a passion for exhibitions. He could always be found at shows. Not only at the club matches of various breed clubs, but also at the larger shows at home and abroad. Here he preferred to work as a ring master and as an employee of OnlineDogShows at exhibitions such as the World Dog Show. Jean Paul was completely in his element there.
The Lancashire Heeler Association has commissioned a Memorial Trophy especially in honor of Jean Paul. This is passed on to the owner of Best Puppy every year.

Tracy, was a special lady we met in 2009, in our search for a Lancashire Heeler. The heart in the right place, honest, sincere and clear in what she approved and disapproved of her dogs and puppies.
On June 12, 2009, Dotty was born and we were allowed to have her. Our first Heeler. Our contact with Tracy got better and better and a second Heeler (Blossom) soon followed. In addition to our two Heelers, we had gained a good friend who always had time for us and assisted us in word and deed. Introducing us to her friends when we were at shows in England. Always proud of the results achieved by Dotty and Blossom and very proud of “Her” Heelers.
In 2011 she founded the Lancashire Heeler Association and became its president. Her motto was a breed club that put the welfare of the Lancashire Heeler first. The recognition of her association at the kennel club has been applied for and has been approved, but she has not been able to experience the result.
Gone from us way too soon, we will never forget her and will always hold her in our hearts.
